But you know sometimes these arrangements are in fact in the best interest of the person under one - particularly if you’re a survivor of serial abuse still struggling with use and mental illness. What you’ll see in the forthcoming dancing boy series - the more serious one - is what it is like to live under one: the having your backpack searched for drugs when you get home from work, the having your mouth searched to make sure you really did swallow all the meds. Yes, it kind of feels like twelve and thirteen again, but sometimes…it’s for your own good. Mercifully, the one with authority over me is not a family member, but a trusted mentor - and yes, a Hollywood person. What you might also see is literally (ie not a dramatic reenactment) the same procedure done to me without my consent at 14 - the one from the very first dancing boy blind. The reason? Because when done with the full understanding and permission of the patient it is actually quite effective in treating certain conditions, including my own (which is a combination of the one from the Opie flick and the one with the two poles), and it is often misunderstood. It isn’t this violent thing - at least not in the West - and they don’t strap you down to the table (okay, they might, but that was because you were acting up). Who is the one kind of doctor that will be overseeing it? I’m not sure there’s a whole separate show in the works - maybe a sort of demented sequel to the previous one about…treatment - but that’s maybe/largely because the number of people willing to undergo this on camera can probably be counted on one hand. There was significant internal bleeding and wounds - entry and exit - on my hands and feet.  I had, according to the report, fled treatment to score, and unable to steal the money I needed, turned tricks - maybe with multiple men. The other wounds were the stuff of self-harm - delusions of grandeur: maybe I believed I was Christ himself. But none of that is true of course. And the reason I know it isn’t true is not because I remember what happened - or even most of it - but because most of the other ones it happened to - other dancing boys I mean - ended up in dumpsters, or washed up on the beach in Malibu. You see: I was never supposed to survive it - the ritual, the completing of the circle (with the star inside.) I was, according to them, one of the Chosen. And yes: there were men who paid to watch, paid to participate - rich, powerful men. But someone intervened. I’m told it was another dancing boy - one of the earliest, and most famous, in a modern sense. I have no idea who.

He called the musician boyfriend a “limey” although he wasn’t, and of course wtf: are people really still biased against the Irish? I imagine it was because he - the band member, I mean - was from a working class background, which is a lot of people from this city. If she wasn’t going to marry me, dad wanted her to marry this one music exec, who was trying to steal or at least peel the band away from their current contract. But when they wouldn’t agree to his terms, he decided to take it out…on her. They got wind of what was about to take place - a sexual attack in an outlying estate in one of the home counties - and beat the crap out of him, and trashed his mansion, nearly burning it down. Sadly, her dad still made her leave him. But I’m pretty sure the true meaning of the one song is about her. The one line refers to the college by a different first name…I heard you say.
