PANACHE REPORT 04/25

HOLY MOLY 04/27: When Busta Rhymes signed to Dr Dre's Aftermath label, all seemed well with the world. His producers and entourage made the point that this would be the greatest album of all time, ensuring that Busta did believe the hype. He embarked on a spending spree that would make even a Premiership footballer blush at its profligacy. The album, 'The Big Bang', was a huge success (though some critics felt it was more akin to 'Big Bollocks') and gave him his first US number one, but even this wasn't enough to fill his rapidly-shrinking pockets. So it's not only credit card companies chasing the slippery rapper for donations to their maxed-out accounts, but also some scarier types, who tend not to talk about such things as 'variable APR' but to target such things as fingers, knees and family pets. For starters. Perhaps it's finally time for that exposé book deal: "I Am What I Am - Gay And Gangsta." "Bwah!"
